Apps offering easy access to your busy schedule no matter where you are

Everyone loves a good to-do list to help them keep tabs on their daily tasks. That’s why we’ve found five of the best apps available for you to access on your smartphone or tablet, each offering easy access to your busy schedule no matter where you are.

Google Tasks

With Google Tasks, you can manage, edit and complete your tasks from your phone with to-do lists that sync across all of your devices. You can integrate the app with your Gmail account and Google Calendar too, so you never forget a deadline.

Google Tasks lets you quickly capture tasks anywhere, then break them down into subtasks to make it easier for you to carry them out. You can add details to notes to remind you which ones are priority, and edit them as your work progresses so you know exactly what’s left to do.

You can even view tasks created from emails, which is great when it comes to deadlines and invitations from colleagues.

Google Tasks is available from the App Store and the Play Store.

Evernote

Evernote is an app that helps you to focus on the important stuff. You can input typed notes, scan handwritten lists and use your voice to keep audio reminders. Every note you create is instantly searchable, so you never have to lose an important memo again.

Use Evernote to make personal checklists that will help keep your thoughts organised, and set reminders to ensure that you keep on top of your daily activities. You can also plan events, whether it’s a wedding or a birthday party, and share them with your friends and family (so there’s no excuse if they don’t turn up with a gift).

Get Evernote from the App Store or the Play Store.

Wunderlist

Wunderlist is a simple to use task manager app that helps you get stuff done. It makes it super easy to capture, share and complete your to-dos, and instantly syncs between your phone, tablet and computer, guaranteeing that your notes are always on hand.

You can use Wunderlist to set due dates and reminders so that you never forget important deadlines or friends’ birthdays; create a variety of lists to help sort your to-dos for home, work and everything in-between; and swipe down from any app on your devices to get a quick glance of your due tasks with the helpful Today widget, which always keeps you on track.

Wunderlist is available from the App Store and the Play Store.

Bear

Used by bloggers, authors, lawyers, students, teachers, families and more, Bear is a focused, flexible writing app that offers nifty features such as quick organisation, simple editing tools, and several export options to help you write quickly and share your work with anyone, anytime, anywhere.

The tools used by the app stay out of your way, getting rid of distractions so that you’re free to just write and get all of your thoughts down in one go.

Habitica

One that’s a little different to the other apps on this list, Habitica lets you treat your life like a game to help you stay motivated and in control.

Making it simple to have fun whilst accomplishing your goals, the app invites you to input your habits, daily tasks and to-do lists. You can then create your own custom avatar, which will level up every time you check off a task, and allow you to unlock features such as armour, pets, skills and fun quests.
